Brand New Artista

2009 is already looking like a jam-packed year for the Artista with many new releases on the big and small screen in the Philippines and for those with TFC and GMA channels at home. We will be keeping a tab on the current and upcoming showbiz features. Here is a round-up of what to look out for.

NEW TELESEYRE RELEASE

Tayong Dalawa
The new ABS CBN primetime teleseyre “Tayong Dalawa” has recently been aired. The story is about two friends in the military, who turn out to be half brothers. JR (Gerald Anderson) and David (Jake Cuenca) lives take a twists as they both fall in love with the same girl, Audrey King (Kim Chiu).

The series will have a strong cast of multi-awarded stars such as Cherry Pie Picache, Gina Pareno, Helen Gamboa, Agot Isidro, Mylene Dizon, Ricky Davao, Alessandro De Rossi, Baron Geisler, Anita Linda and Jiro Manio.

A Very Special Love Part II
Following the success of “A Very Special Love Part I”, John Lloyd and Sarah Geronimo will return to the silverscreen with the follow-up sequel “You Changed My Life”. This is reportedly due to hit the cinema screens on February 25th 2009. “A Very Special Love Part I” smashed box office records in the Philippines, it earned over 200 million pesos in 2008. It was an obvious decision for Director Cathy Garcia to bring the hottest love tandem back.

When I Met You
Another loveteam rematch is set with the collaboration of Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion for another romantic feature, but this time with GMA Films. “For the First Time” was a huge success with this partnership for Star Cinema. Supporting them on their new film adventure is Alfred Vargas, Iya Villania, Cherry Pie Picache, Tirso Cruz III, Eula Valdez, Tonton Gutierrez, Freddie Webb and Paolo & Bubble Paraiso.
