The idea originally came from setting up a blog about general ‘Pinoy’ lifestyle and current news, but that developed into more than being about the entertainment industry in the Philippines. The internet has become such a great portal for communication, so why not use it to combine ideas and opinions from friends and contacts abroad.

The main driving force of LDNmeetsMNL are London based. But as the name suggests, they have been communicating with contacts from Manila and elsewhere.

LDNmeetsMNL will put forward articles and information for your reading and visual pleasure. It may appear to be like so many of the other sites out there promoting the ‘Pinoy’ brand, but the integral and unique aspect of this ‘project’ is the involvement of London, Manila and international contributors; and the exploration of how we interconnect or are influenced by each other’s cities and cultures.

With the Philippines and the Filipino as the main focus, the usual suspects of posts relating to trends, music, entertainment, events and lifestyle will feature.  Alongside are the points of views regarding current news, culture and politics. LDNmeetsMNL will also aim to provide you with information about the individuals, groups and organisations trying to make a change; those who want to simply promote their talent or revolutionise their objectives and ideas, and generate support within and outside of their communities.
